Male peacocks are noted for their predominant bright, iridescent blue and lightish darkish green feathers. They also have some bronze coloring of the feathers that also seems iridescent when in some lighting conditions. Female peahens are predominantly brown, grey, white and bronze with speckles and with iridescent blue/green feathers on their necks.
There are a number of colours that appear in a peacock's feather. These colours are blue, green, brown and yellows. The shades of these colours tend to vary depending on how the light hits the feathers and often the colour purple seems to appear as well.
Some can be silver or gold but there are many varieties.
