Brazil (or Brasil to the locals) is located in South America, on the Atlantic (Eastern) side. It is the largest country on the continent and the capital is Brasilia. Portuguese is the official language, though it is a variation of what is spoken in Portugal.
Brazil borders with 10 out of 12 South American countries: Guyane, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay.
