Yes they did, everything from stage blood to trap doors (even thunder and lightning). The Globe Theatre actually burnt down because they fired a cannon onstage for a performance of Henry VIII).

Though plays that featured stage effects for the purpose of spectacle (just to draw an audience) didn't really start happening until after the restoration (second half of the 17th century).

Yes, they had both. The costumes were usually just fancy contemporary clothes. Some props were swords, pikes, crowns, a skull, a donkey head, letters, books, jewels, a cauldron, a handkerchief spotted with strawberries, daggers, flowers and so on.

Costumes of the period were pretty much what you would see the average person of the time wearing, given they did not know much about what others wore before them. However, the colors of the clothing the actors wore showed their rank in society in the play and the knowledge of what each color meant was well known. as for props most of the stages needed little props they only aided the action did not define it.
