They are usually just little cysts. However, you should have them checked out by a doctor, and please do not squeeze them as they can burst inside and cause a great deal of trouble by spreading infection to the ears. Yes, voice of experience talking here.

∙ 15y agomy son has a large soft lump behind his right ear, he also has a blood shot eye on the same side he is 9 yrs old the lump has been present for about 6 mo his eye has been bloodshot for a few days. We have taken him to the doctors who doesnt seem that worried about it and has sent him for no further testing, any ideas on best way to proceed. Sometimes my son also complains of head and neck ache and occassional dizziness.

∙ 14y agoswollen lymph nodes probably caused by a minor infection. They swell up fast and take a long time to go down. Go see a doc to make sure.
