What could be wrong if you replaced the blower motor with a new one and it worked for about 5 minutes and then shut off and the burning wire smell started again?

Answer

The first thing I would look for, is too make sure their is no blockage,if it has a vent tube, the motor needs to discharge the air it is producing, the Second thing you said you changed the motor had the orginal motor been running for a longer period of time,I don't know what it is attached too, does it plug into a wall outlet or does it have a disconnect plug check the wiring to the motor, also check the voltage, there are all kinds of blower mtrs, and hook ups. make sure your connections are tight, any noise an impeller vibration
