I am not so sure in UK but here is an estimate, if it is Hernia Repair Epigastric - it could cost at around $1500 - $3500 (http://www.surgerycosts.net/price.php?medical=hernia-repair-epigastric), and if it is Hernia Repair Inguinal it would cost you at around $1500 (http://www.surgerycosts.net/price.php?medical=hernia-repair-inguinal) Good Luck!
No. I've had my belly button pierced for eight years and never had a hernia. So I have a hard time believing that a belly button ring could cause a hernia. It can cause an infection but it can't cause a hernia.
Holding in bowel movements will probably not cause a hernia. If you hold your bowel movements in it could cause your bowels to burst and you can die.
I had double hernia's last year, and I had two bladder infections leading to it. The doctor told me I probably had the hernia's for a few years. Since I had the hernia's repaired, I haven't had a bladder infection since. Personally I blame the bladder infections on the hernia's, the doctor said it was possible. My health was perfect (other then the hernia's) when I got the bladder infections, the chances are good in my option it "could" be the cause of a UTI.
If it isn't an inguinal hernia it could just be a growth. This does not mean it harmful, it could be a begin growth that will have no effect on your health.
They are checking for any hernia's that could be protruding through the femoral canal into the scrotum. If small intestines get's through the canal into the scrotum it could cause severe pain and ischemic bowel. (dead intestines). If they find one in a young child usually it will heal on its own. You just have to reduce the hernia (push it back in) But in an adult it should be repaired (herniorrhaphy)
You are correct, this symptom could be related to hiatal hernia. However, this symptom could also be associated with other disorders. In order to best be assured you should go to your health care provider in order to determine what the cause of your chest pain stems from.
You can't "do" anything, this "knot" is part of the umbilical cord, which is attached to your belly button, it is perfectly normal and should be there, but, if this "knot" continues to cause pain you should seek medical attention as this could lead to a hernia, very common and easy to sort out Hope this helps:)
After having a hernia operation you cannot have children. You could think about having some before hand or adopting.
Hiatus
Panda123kool:The cause of the child's death after birth could be if the child isn't full grown. It could have a disease or also just not be able to breathe! Sometimes death happens for te child even it it is perfectly healthy.
I recently had surgery in July to repair an umbilical hernia only to be rushed to the hospital in October to repair 3 additional hernia's (holes). They wouldn't let me leave the hospital without the procedure. I assumed this was serious.
