Those appear to be signs and symptoms of an infection called trichomonas (pronounced Trik-a -mo -nas). Trichomonas vaginalis is fairly common in women, especially during pregnancy or after vaginal surgery but could occur otherwise. It is sometimes found in the male urethra and can be transmitted during intercourse .This infection requires treatment with Flagyl which has to be prescribed by your doctor. See him /her soon!

What does it mean if you have white clumpy discharge that doesn't itch?

All yeast infections do not itch. White, clumpy discharge with no itching can be a sign of a vaginal infection or perhaps a piece of toilet paper that has worked its way up into the vaginal canal and caused an irritation. It can also be caused by a hormonal imbalance. It can also be caused by an allergic reaction to some forms of birth control. Anytime it is white and clumpy, it should be checked by the doctor and cultured to be sure.

If it is clumpy but soft and without a smell and occurs after your period it should be normal, but if it is thick and in particles are cheese like, then you either having a fungal or bacterial infection. See a doctor of advice on medication.

What is this white stuff in my pants?

It's vaginal discharge or excess moisture. It turns white when it dries. It is the normal excretion of the vagina for the vagina is a wet orifice of the body. Just like the nose secretes phlem (aka mucus or snot) to keep it moist. In Addition: It's normal. Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucus) is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Different Types of Discharge: White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection. Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating. Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising. Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor. Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown. Different types of infections: Signs of yeast infections: White, cottage cheese-like discharge Swelling and pain around the vulva Intense itching Signs of bacterial vaginosis: A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap Itching or burning Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva Signs of trichomoniasis A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge An unpleasant odor Pain and itching when urinating Most apparent after your period

Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test.

Should a woman's vaginal fluid be chalky white?

Yes, a white or off-white discharge is perfectly normal.Vaginal discharge changes throughout the menstrual cycle - this can include changes in colour, texture, and amount - typically you will see a stretchy clear discharge around a week leading up to ovulation and then after ovulation leading up to menstruation you'll see thicker white discharge. You can also see brown or pink discharge leading up to or directly after menstruation, also mid-cycle.As long as discharge isn't green or grey, have an unusual texture such as very watery or clumpy like cottage cheese, or have a bad scent such as fishy or like yeast, then you're likely fine.
