I have a circular bruise on my right upper arm on the inside. It has what appears to be a pin prick or scratch in the middle, with purple bruising which is rapidly turning yellow. Can you tell me what could have caused this in such an innocuous place?

I am not a doctor, but to me this sounds like it could be poor circulation in the legs. If swelling is also a symptom then it could be heart related.
