This happens sometimes with my car. It will set the alarm off when the plastic key comes apart. This is the case with a lot of vw keys. when the alarm goes off, i just push the plastic parts of the key back together and press the unlock button. I ended up glueing the key case back together and this stopped. It must send a signal when the device is apart from each other and once its back together, they key works and the alarm turns off. Hope this helps. Just make sure the plastic parts are connected on the key.
All Ford vehicles have a central locking system that were manufactured after 1993. The Ford focus has always had the central locking system.

Under the bonnet there is a fuse bow near the bulkhead. Fuse number 63 is central locking. Its a 20 amp fuse.
I have had this problem. The central locking system checks that all of the doors are closed when it is activated. So it has a loop of wires that goes through all the doors (when the doors are closed the loop is complete and the central locking stays locked) What is happening is, some of the wires in the loop have snapped, his happens in the doors, (if you look in the door when it is open, on the hinge side, you will see a black rubber tube that contains the wiring). All of the door wiring will need to be checked and broken wires repaired - this should solve the problem.
A Ford dealership will have the information about the cost of replacing the central locking system on a Ford Fiesta. Another way to estimate the cost is to get a quote from an auto part retailer.
