The Palestinian Authority controls, to one degree or another, the West Bank and (nominally) the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Authority is largely controled by the group Fatah, and its leader, Mahmoud Abbas, is President of the PA. The PA does not have effective control over the Gaza Strip, however - the Palestinian group Hamas runs Gaza following its takeover about two years ago. Additionally, while it has no people at all in Gaza and varying amounts of day-to-day control in various regions of the West Banks, Israel controls the borders of both regions.
