The countries to the East of Ireland are Scotland, Wales, England and the Isle of Man. The South of Ireland, across the Atlantic Ocean, is America. To the South, Spain. But over here, we're surrounded by water =)

The only country with which Ireland has a land border is the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland). Ireland's other neighbours (over water) are the UK (Scotland, England, and Wales) and the Isle of Man (a British "crown dependency," technically not part of the UK).

Beyond that, you're out on the open ocean until you hit France, Spain, Iceland, Greenland, or Canada.
