Stand and fight mom! Stay where you are and walk into any Women's Abuse Center with your children and a counselor will see you and help you out. There are Transition Houses to go too where your husband will not find you or your children. There are programs there that will help you and you will also be given a counselor to sit with you in court (generally the children ... depending on their ages, don't have to appear in court.) By doing this he could well go to prison on a short-term basis. This gives you time to figure out where you want to move too. Don't wait too long. Tell no one of your plans or where you will be with the exception of your mother (if you feel you can trust her not to tell the rest of the family) or a dear and trusted friend. You can always call them (not from your home) in Another Country to let them know periodically you are doing fine. Please realize that when you relocate to another country (of your choice) you have to leave family and friends behind and you just can't write them a letter with your return address on it or give your parents or friends your address and phone #. If your ex husband is angry he can very well trace you through this. Also email is out of the question. If you don't have sole custody of your children and you leave for another city or country he could well press charges of 'kidnapping his children' against you and well turn the tables on you. So stay and fight with the help of the Women's Abuse Center and take this guy down on his own home ground!
