Answer:
Islam is the religion of the follower of the Prophet Muhammad and not a country. Islam is practise in most countries in the world, including Israel, United States and Norway. You will find their house of worship - Mosques in most cities, and a controversy was raised last year because a Muslim culture centre near "Ground Zero" was made into a Mosque. In the countries in the Middle East: Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jordan, it is the dominant religion. Their Holy Book, the Koran contains the entire Old Testament, and they consider Jesus to be another prophet, as Esayah ("Issa" in Arabic). In this line, Muhammed is the last Prophet in their belief, and his revelations were given to him by the Almighty in Arabic, and since this was capture and written, their "version" of God's will is "more recent". They also consider that the commandments given to Moses should be adhered to, and not just "believed to be guidelines" giving grounds for using the Holy Book as The Law given to us by God, and not as the US Constitution that was made by men, and politicians argue and change all the time.
