"Believe it or not Ireland is the bigest exporter of bananas in the world. Although bananas do not grow in Ireland, Fyffes (an Irish owned company) imports bananas from Columbia, Honduras, Belize and Costa Rica and then exports them throughout Europe making Ireland, as a country, the biggest exporter of bananas in the world!"
Not sure when this was posted, but Fyffes has been a smaller exporter for a long time now. Fyffes is about 5th in the world, with about 7% of market share. U.S.-based Dole and Chiquita are the largest producers and marketers of bananas.
Canada - an import is something brought into a country.
There are several countries that export bananas to Canada, including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Roca, Honduras, and (with a longer trip) the Philippines.

Panama is responsible for the largest number of exports (by dollar value) from Central America. In 2013, Panama had outgoing shipments valued at over $14.5B USD, accounting for between 25-30% of Central American exported products. Although this doesn't quite answer your question as far as the actual number of exported items, it's safe to assume that the quantity of exports is in line with this statistic and Panama also exports the largest number of goods.
