Germans, of course, keep their own German culture, but are influenced by the cultures of bordering countries such as the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, France, etc... there is an especially large number of Turks living in Germany, bringing their own culture, and often Islam is part of this.

German culture is influenced by a variety of factors, including its history, geography, and regional diversity. Some key aspects of German culture include a strong emphasis on punctuality and efficiency, a love for beer and sausages, a rich tradition of Classical Music and literature, and a deep respect for nature and the environment. Germany is also known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration, traditional Folk Music and dance, and the Christmas markets.

Although initially Germans can seem quite cool or brusque, in general Germans are warm and polite. They tend to be a bit more blunt than Americans or Brits; in German culture, there is no concept of "saving face," so Germans may make comments that would be inappropriate in Anglo-Saxon cultures--but no harm is meant by this bluntness or directness. Germans do not engage as much in small talk or banter; they tend to be more formal with strangers, and do not use first names unless there is cause or mutual agreement.
