His body was not found but when they infiltrated his hideout they found a canister of suicide pills spilt on the ground. If you ask me, that isn't enough proof. So no. But the time period of WW11 is passing and soon it won't be possible for someone to still be alive to have actually fought in the war. If he is still out there, he won't be for much longer.
