What determines whether or not your insurance company will raise your insurance prices?

Answer

If you are referring to when it's time to renew your policy.. they go by a few different things.

1.) If you've moved into a different sector in which your zip code would change.

2.) If there have been any claims, accidents, or serious citations received during the duration of your existing policy.

3.) If you have added a higher risk driver to your policy than when you originally started or such a person now resides in your household or if you have gotten married which per the N.H.T.S.A. usually must be taken into consideration when establishing premiums

These are the most common examples of what would raise your rates however due to the vast universe of scenarios, it is quite impossible to address them all. If you have a specific situation in mind, it's advisable to contact your carrier for assistance. Good luck!
