Edith Frank's mental health decayed after her two daughters were sent to a different concentration camp September 30, 1944. she would not eat, but she squirreled away bread that she kept in her bed, "for her husband" she became sick and died in January, 1945. ten days later that concentration camp was liberated by the red army.
