Sir Edward Elgar is one of the most, if not the most, renowned English composer of all time. He composed such pieces of music as the Pomp and Circumstance Marches, the Engima Variations and a Cello Concerto. He was born in Broadheath near Worcester on the 2nd of June 1857, and died on the 23rd of February 1934, in Worcester.
