Malcolm x spoke against the unfair treatment to the African Americans. In addition Malcolm X was a leader in the Nation of Islam in the 1960's promoting self-pride and nationalism for African Americans. He preached his message of black activism for blacks only until his trip to Mecca where he realized that Blacks and Whites could co-exist harmoniously. He took his new message back to America but was unfortunately assassinated before his message could be fully heard.
