It also achieved the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which did many important things on its own. However it did upset many of the people living in the southern state. Among these is outlawing voter registration segregation, segregation in schools, and also in places of employment. Because of the Civil Rights Act, equality was given in basically anything dealing with outlawing private discrimination in public places.
