I paid $17,000 plus tax, title, tag her in Atlanta. It is a 4 cylinder and it was made in Japan..thank god.....still have it...142,000 miles strong and it has had only 1 repair...starter went out last year...no complaints.....the original battery from Panasonic lasted 8.5 years....AC has never gone down......the power windows and door locks and handles have never broken....I have used Mobil 1 5-30 since day one and change it every 5-6K miles....doesn't burn or leak a drop of anything.....
Basically, I have kept the maintenance up. Changed the timing belt and water pump at 110K and flushed the transmission 3 or 4 times now....coolant twice.....the car is the most reliable car I have ever owned and I owned a 1992 Camry LE before this one.....
The only thing more remarkable is that you can buy a new Camry for very close to what I paid for mine back in August of 1999. I think the delta can be had for $1,500. Adjusting for inflation, the new one is probably cheaper. The new one is considerably more roomy and powerful.
When this one goes, I am going to buy another. Whether or not I buy new is a fair question. My guess is that this thing will be good for another 3-5 years at which it will be 15 or 17 years old with the original owner.
I got my money's worth and then quite a bit more ; ) Buy a Camry and don't look back. They are head and shoulders above a Honda Accord based on:
Reliability, Brakes (they don't wear out nearly as often), better transmission, much much better AC (compare, there is no comparison and if you live in the South, the AC is EVERYTHING). Quieter ride, much less road noise, smoother shifting....like glass, soft highway ride which some might not like but, if you travel in a crowded city the quietness can calm you quite a bit....
Same money, not as stylish perhaps but, for ridiculously reliable, safe, and quiet transportation that will last longer than some of you? Buy Camry, leave the rest behind.
Good luck
$18,500.
A 1999 Toyota Camry needs four quarts of oil :-)
This depends on the bolt pattern of both cars. If the bolt pattern is the same, then technically the rim will work. example: a 1999 Camry LE has a bolt pattern of 5x114, a 1999 Corolla LE has a bolt pattern of 4x100. In this case, the Camry rim will not work on the Corolla.
I don't know, I have the same question.
I think it is 14 mm.

The Camry DX is a more basic model that compared to the Camry LE. The DX has the AC as an option while the LE it is always included.
No, it does not. Toyota has started installing cabin filters at 1999.
A 1999 Toyota Camry LE will have a inlet for the transmission fluid located next to the transmission housing. Before adding fluid to the system it is important to drain the older fluid. Be sure to add the correct amount and avoid over filling the system.
cost to replace the radiator in my 1995 4 cyl. Camry today will be $220.
