Mostly nature and unexplained phenomenon like the sun, moon, stars, rain, storms, forest, animals, lightnings, ect. However, as people become more sophisticated and able to learn and explain how many of natural events, religions started to change to something more abstract. Since people can associated things better if it's more human like, most religions have their god(s)/deities/ect with some or many human characteristics.
