Some were able to continue going to school, while others had to stay home and help their families.
In the way of entertainment, some kids had radios in their living room on which they could listen to their favorite program. Some had saved enough money to take a trip to the movies on the weekends. A lot just made their own little toys and games to entertain themselves.
