Which Mossberg .410? If its the 500E, you can chamber any .410 2.5" & 3# shell. Enjoy. It's a GREAT little gun.
Everything in the proper gauge/size.
Yes, but not steel shot
No no no
NEVER FIRE AMMUNITON IN A WEAPON NOT DESINGED FOR IT!!!!!!!!! In a shotgun, you fire shotgun slugs or shotshells, NOT rifle projectiles (unless using a sabot) In the case of a sabot, you MUST contact the Mossberg.
No. You can only fire .410 shotgun shells in it. You should never attempt to fire a different ammunition than is stamped on the barrel, even if it appears to fit. If the pressure is too high, or the cartridge doesn't fit, at the best your gun will not shoot properly. At the worst it can explode and kill you.
If your shotgun has Damascus barrels, then by all means do not fire modern smokeless ammo through your shotgun.I would have your shotgun looked at by a qualified gunsmith before attempting to fire any ammo through a shotgun of this age.
No. Different types of ammunition for different types of guns. There's no "one gun" that can fire all types of ammo.
Before attempting to fire this shotgun with ANY ammunition, you need to have a gunsmith check the hinge pin, headspace and rim recess. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Crown shotguns were manufactured in Belgium. I have read that some of them had Damascus steel barrels, so DO NOT fire modern shotgun ammunition in it.
NEVER FIRE OR ATTEMPT TO FIRE AMMUNITION IN A WEAPON NOT DESIGNED FOR THAT AMMUNITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Danger, danger, danger
being that your savage/stevens shotgun was made between 1933-1945,I would have a gunsmith check your shotgun to make sure it is safe to use and at that time question him on use of steel shot through your shotgun.
Fire ammunition.
