What direction does the coolant flow in a Mercedes 240d does it flow out of the engine head and in to the pump on the bottom left or vice versa?

(looking from the front side)

From the central belt-driven water pump (left side of engine) to AUX electrical pump to the monovalve (control valve for interior heat).

It then goes out of the monovalve by two hoses (left and right) into heater core, back into the engine block through a single hose on the right side.
