A neurologist does not treat mental health problems. A psychiatrist does.

A neurologist's field of study is the nervous system and disorders affecting it. While some neurological disorders may affect the brain (part of the nervous system) and in turn may cause the brain to malfunction, the neurologist's primary role is diagnosing and treating those physiological issues that may result.
