I´m not sure, since I am a 22 year old single girl. But my dad is 42, and I also see that tv show carpoolers. so some items on the list could possibly be:
their age (the fact that they are growing old and will be 50 in the blink of an eye)
they start to consider what they have done so far in their lives, how they feel about that and what they can do to improve
and i don´t know what else...
they don´t know the modern music, they often think of and miss the time they were 20... and that stuff
