Best Answer

Most believe that He is the son of God, sent to earth to atone for the sins of mankind. There was no other pure enough to be able to do this for all had fallen short of this great honor. He was the spiritual first born of the Father and so it fell upon Him to take upon himself this great task. It will be he who will judge mankind at the last days, It is he who rose from the dead to break the bonds of death brought about by the transgression of our first parents. Through his death and resurrection, all mankind will also be resurrected.

Since The Bible is so old and was written in many different languages, everyone picks and chooses what the think is true. That's why there are so many varieties of Christians (Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Baptist, Pentecostal, etc.).

Another answer

The Bible says the penalty due mankind for rebelling against God is death, after life. In the book called Hebrews in the New Testament of the Bible it says:

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

The bible also say a person can be saved from death after life and have life after death this is called salvation. In the Bible the way of salvation is through the death of Jesus Christ, which God has accepted as a suitable payment for mankind's rebellion. The first book of John, in the Bible, says:

1Jn 5:11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

1Jn 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

By accepting God's gift of His son (Jesus) you will receive life after death.
