Koi will eat guppies or small goldfish readily. In fact, koi will eat most small fish. They will also eat water vegetation as well. I suggest duckweed.
They will eat quite a range of things including:- prawns, cockles, crab sticks, brown bread (not white as it has bleach in it) also try brown bread with natural honey - they love it, lettuce, pearl barley, tofu, sweet potato, sausage, Oranges, silkworm pupae, dried shrimp to rattle off a few, but make sure it's a varied and balanced diet you give them. Most of my list should be fed as a supplement to a staple commercial fish food, of which there are many on the market.
I'm sure that they're not good for them, but my grandson started a 15 koi riot when he threw his M&Ms into the pond. He had dropped them and didn't want to eat them - they must have been washed by the pond water, because the fish most certainly didn't mind them.
On a more serious note, weetabix (or Lidl's cheap equivalent, does their tummies no end of good, as do shredded wheat, especially if the fish are mainly fed dried food.
