The Republicans are for legal migration to avoid illegal migration that has many disadvantages associated with it. There is large number of advantages associated with following the legal migration policy. UN being a global power and great model of democracy implementing existing laws such as announcing lottery system for migration of thousands workers and others is in a position to improve global relations for trading and other national objectives. Migration strategy gives required workforce with desired skills at required time for meeting the national requirements from different countries and areas.

The Immigration policy allows for work visas according to planned requirements and caters to accommodate migrant, seasonal workers, students, dependents among others to suite the immigration needs. Legal immigrants are given equal rights, they are registered and pay taxes and they have to respect the law thus reducing the chances of corruption, crimes and getting proper output from the work force .Genuine migrant and seasonal workers being legal and given every opportunity and incentive to be legal feel as equal citizen of US. It make their lives easier, more stable, and more economically beneficial thus they contribute with full devotion in their work giving more out put , they have to all the taxes and they have to respect the law .

Republican support the legal migration policy giving clear and relatively easy instructions on how to get visas and process the applications quickly and efficiently to help everyone involved stops or reduces illegal migration. The large number of problems like crimes , corruption by employers by not giving full wages and corruption by the illegal immigrants not paying any taxes are created those could be finished by offering legal migration incentives.

The existing laws and regulations for legal migration might be improved to remove any faults in the procedures to solve large number associated with illegal uncontrolled migration causing great loss of taxes, lower output of workforce and increasing crimes thus resulting in great loss to US. It is just enforcing the law as it stands is in the national interest of US to stop illegal migration and al problems associated with it

Republicans do not like it so much as Democrats do. Democrats want to help anyone and everyone that comes over to the United states and give them health care and a place to stay and a job. Republicans feel that it is good to have a net migration in to the country, BUT you should only come if you can afford the taxes and will work hard just like the people that first came to America.

That is not so simple to answer since US Republicans do not fall into lock-step the same way US Democrats seem to do.

Generally, citizens of a conservative bent, do not believe in immigration without some controls. They believe that people who have entered the country illegally should have consequences to deal with - whether it be deportation, going to the back of the line, or being allowed residency without citizenship or government benefits. Their opinions can and do vary based upon their own experiences. They also tend to feel that the current laws should be enforced - not ignored - and if the laws need changing, they should be changed in the way set forth by the Constitution through Congress.

Republicans differentiate between legal and illegal immigration, though opponents of the GOP don't consider that difference.
