What do Rocky Mountain Oysters taste like?

In: Recipes
[Edit]

The taste of Rocky Mountain Oysters depends on what kind of animal they come from. I have eaten many kinds (not just sampled) of mountain oysters. Among them have been pig, turkey, chicken, burro, stallion, calf & bull, and yes, even squirrel testicles. All have a different texture and flavor of their own. To say they taste like chicken would be a huge error. The only thing that I think tastes like chicken is chicken and rattlesnake. Some folks think that bull fries (huevos del toro) taste like liver. That's a matter of opinion. To me, they taste like bull testicles. One thing for sure, the older an animal is when the various testicles are collected, the stronger the taste. Why do I eat them? I eat them because I think they are a great delicacy. Yum, yum for the tum, tum! If you are squeemish about what you eat, you are missing out on a bunch in life. Try them. You might just like them.
