They are both a filter like the vaccum cleaner it filters all the dust and dirt while the tea strainer filters the tea bag or the tea leaves. :) So I repeat they are both a type of filter :)

How separate tea leaves from a pot of tea?

I assume this is not a riddle? Use teabags, or use a tea strainer.

How do you separate the tea itself with water?

When making tea, you pour hot water over the tea for the best results. If you are using loose tea, which is not in a bag, you put the tea into a small strainer for that purpose, making it easy to pull out of the tea. Or, you can pour the tea into your cup through a small strainer that fits on the cup.

What is the uses of kitchen tool colander?

For those of us who prefer loose-leaf tea and choose not to use a tea ball, a tea-strainer is an excellent way to keep the smaller bits of the leaves out of your cup. Tea is poured from the pot, through the strainer and into the cup. The strainer is then set aside for use in the next pouring (if you intend to have more than one cup, or there are several of you) or it is rinsed and set to dry. If you are intending to have your tea-leaves read, the a strainer is un-necessary.

What do you use to remove discarded tea leaves from tea?

A strainer or clean cloth draped over Your pitcher.

What is a tea ball?

You can buy a metal ball that you place your loose tea into it for dipping into hot water and it acts as a strainer. I guess that is it. To my knowledge it is a round mesh tool in witch the loose tea leaves go in before it is placed in the hot/boiling water for brewing. It is a tea infuser, a kind of strainer.

How do you make hot tea cold?

What is the use of strainer?

a strainer traps particles to separate them out from the liquid you are using, this prevents the "bits" from fouling or wearing out parts in the system in Plumbing, for example in your washing machine, or even simple things like stopping tea leaves when making a cup of tea.
