In religions there are often traditions and laws about what must not be eaten (or worn). Atheism is not a religion and therefore has no laws or traditions and athiests generally eat what they like. Some are omnivores, others are are vegetarians, or combinations of either. Personally, I will eat most anything that does not try to eat me first.

There are many religions which require their adherents to eat or refrain from eating specific kinds of food. However, atheism is not a religion, it is merely skepticism about religion. It has no dietary rules connected to it. Therefore, atheists eat whatever they want to eat. This. of course, somewhat modified by the culture the atheists live in and their personal preferences. American atheists probably don't eat as much horse as French atheists, Inuit atheists probably eat more muktuk (raw blubber) than others, and vegetarian atheists probably eat less steak. At a recent meeting of French atheists, snails and frog legs were served. British atheists have been known to eat mutton. American atheists love Pizza and spaghetti (some are devotees of the Flying Spaghetti Monster). At a recent meeting of New Guinea cannibal atheists, theists were on the menu. All atheists love ice cream, no one knows why. Lactose intolerant atheists eat special, lactose-free ice cream.

The only commonality of Atheists is the position of non-belief of god claims. Other than that there is no dogma to control what an atheist can or cannot eat. There are no belief systems to dictate foods

Although the popular vision is that atheists enjoy nothing better than a nice bowl of puppies, kittens or babies, they actually eat whatever is handy in theirsociety. Their choices may be influenced by whether they are carnivores (Atkins diet), vegetarians or vegans, Atheists are not a group and as such have no rules for diet, dress, which side to part their hear on or any other daily choice, The only thing that unites atheist id there position that there is no god or other supernatural beings.

Atheism isn't a religion; there are, therefore, no particular food doctrines involved. Atheists however are part of their local secular culture and upbringing and will not customarily eat what local custom frowns on (American atheists don't eat much monkey or horse meat, vegan atheists don't eat much animal protein, non-Scandinavian atheists don't eat much lutfisk)

What is the atheism legend?

There is no atheism legend. Atheism is simply a non-belief in the existence of a deity. Some other groups have legends (or at least misconceptions) about atheism. Like all legends there is no truth in them. Examples are:That atheists are evilThat atheists are pro abortion/drugs/promiscuityThat atheism as a group has an organization and rules and goalsAtheism = Communism (or naziism, or socialism)That atheists conspire to do away with ChristmasThat atheists are in league with the devilThat atheists really want to be convertedThat atheists "miss" god (often stated as "They have a god shaped hole in their hearts.)That atheists "deny" godThat aatheists hate the religious peopleEdit to add: I don't know which 'other group' started it, if any really did, but it has been said that atheists eat (human) babies. This has been adopted by atheists, especially on atheist internet forums, as a running gag. So any Christians, Muslims, or whatever, browsing atheist forums should remember, we're only joking guys.
