They look like big flat nosed dolphins and are completely white (calves are grey). They are however toothed Wales despite being far smaller than most other toothed whales.
The Beluga is a medium-sized whale, that is white. It has a stocky body, with a rounded melon on its head. It has a single blowhole from which it breathes from.

Young beluga whales look very much like their parents when they are born, however they are quite wrinkled in the first few weeks of their life. They are also more of a slate grey in colour, eventually as they mature, their colouration will lighten until they're white in appearance.
