Dairy products, beef, and fertilizer. As 'Hidden Villa' would say, "Strawberry Milkshakes"...
Recipe Requires:
* One field of grass. * A few Strawberry seeds * A freezer * A blender * One cow
# Plant strawberry seeds. Do not fertilize yet. # The cow eats grass. # The cow produces manure
# The manure fertilizes the grass # The same manure is used to fertilize the strawberries # The manure also fertilizes vanilla bean plants (for ice cream)
# The cow eats more grass (which has been fertilized now) # The cow produces milk and cream # Using vanilla and cream, make ice cream
You now have strawberries, milk, and ice cream.
10. Freeze ice cream and berries 11. Blend together the strawberries, milk, cream, and ice cream. You now have: === ===
After a cow gives birth to a calf she starts to produce milk (or starts lactating), like other mammals. The milk she produces is used to make dairy products. However her milk is only deemed suitable for human consumption at least 72 hours after parturition (giving birth) because she is producing what is known as colostrum (milk that is more yellowish colour and full of immunoglobins and antibodies that are crucial to the calf's health in its first few hours or days of life) from the point she has given birth to when the calf's a few days old. Only cows that are bred to produce much more milk than their calves can drink are used for dairy production; these are called "dairy cows." All other cows that do not produce more milk than their calves can drink are known as beef cows, because they're raised to raise a calf, not produce milk.
Please see the related question below for how cows produce milk.

Cows give us many things! Not only do they provide us with meats and entrails (some people like hearts and brains and such), but we can use their hide as well. As for any remains, you could even use the bones, if you REALLY wanted to go Caveman and make the Halloween Costume of the Year. This all assuming it's getting butchered. For those who ARN'T headed for the dinner plate, such as Dairy Cows, they provide us with nourishing Milk, which in turn can be made into many other things, like Cheese and Yogurt. Aren't they wonderful creatures? Hope this answered to your satisfaction! ^.^
The Angus is the most popular for beef cows. The Holstein is the most popular for dairy cows.
