Deer feed on grass, clover, twigs, bark, and shoots.

If these are unavailable, as in suburbs or urban areas, deer will nibble at trash to see what is edible.

When they're babies they must drink milk for at least 3 Weeks if its mom isn't around I suggest goat milk. Once its weaned it can start grazing grass. Deer graze like horses but they eat much less.

Deer are browsers and will eat grasses and leaves off trees and shrubs. - even the bark off trees during winter.

Deer feed on grass, twigs, bark, and shoots.

** Deer will feed on the above if their normal food is not available to them, which are green leaves of bushes and clover. Deer eat vegetation. They also like carrots and sugar beets. Also if none of the above are available they will wander into cities and eat trash.
Deer are herbivores which means they eat plants, fruits, acorns, and nuts when they are available. In the fall when these things are more scarce they will switch to eating grass and evergreen plants. In the winder they eat whatever food is available such as fallen leaves, twigs, bushes, and other woody plants.
