Most Pet stores stock a good hamster mix that contains all the vital 'dry' food vitamins your hampster will need. But i recommend you give it some 'wet' food fresh every 1-2 days. A small amount or it will get diaorhea. Think along the lines of 3 grapes daily as a portion size. They can eat Apple (mine adores this), Pear, Grapes, Cucumber, Most Greens, Brocolli etc. Treat-wise you can feed peanuts and sunflower seeds. Again pet stores usualy sell hamster treats but avoid chocolate hamster drops...they clog the hamsters cheek pouches
You have to go to a local pet store and buy food specially made for hamsters. That's what would be best. Giving it things out of your fridge might not be a good idea for a small hamster.
