Yes. If you quit shooting up, they go away with time. It's a natural healing thing. ______________________________________________________________ I was an injecting Heroin addict for 9 years, I have been clean for 6 months. At present my track marks are as big and bad as ever. I asked the doctor if there was anything I could do and he recommended Vaseline! I have heard that Bio-Oil is good (can buy in Boots but is expensive) for scars. However I think it will be many years before my track marks "heal". _______________________________________________________________

I was told vitamin E oil would help, and although others have told me mine look better, they still look awful to me, but then again I also have absess scars, cause I refused to go to the hospital I though I could treat them just as well at home

Track marks can look different on different people. depending on skin color and whatnot. im white and pale my track marks would sometimes just looked like a bruise. then sometimes depending on where i shot up, a little red dot only or with a bruise would stay. they r called tracks because there will be many of them in a line that follows the viens on your arms, legs, feet, hands, and neck.

How bad are the track marks from donating plasma?

Depends on how often you go. I once went about 2 years without donating and the track marks went away. However I started up again to get rid of my weekly gas needs and I go twice a week. I've been told I look like a heroin addict. However, if people know what you do and you don't have a skinny, sickly look to you it won't look so bad.

What are the physical effects of heroin?

physical effects of heroin addiction: Track Marks Track marks are a tell-tale sign of heroin addiction. Track marks are associated with people who use heroin intravenously. On their arms and other parts of the body where veins are present, an observer will be able to see markings of where the needle pierced the skin. Pay attention to the clothing your teens wear–if they are constantly in long sleeves and pants–even in warmer months, they may be hiding track marks. Moodiness While most teens occasionally exhibit moody behavior, when that irritability is extreme and includes withdrawing, this could be a sign of a substance use disorder. In addition, if a teen appears to be in a state of euphoria or very drowsy coupled with moodiness, this is a sign of evident addiction. Constipation Heroin users experience chronic constipation. Reports show that nearly 80 percent of people who take opioids as prescribed for chronic pain experience constipation, also known as opioid-induced bowel disorders. This is a major concern that severely affects people’s lives. Fluctuating Weight If your teen begins to lose or gain weight without any change in diet or exercise, this, too, could be a sign of heroin addiction. Withdrawing from Family and Keeping Secrets Another sign of teen heroin addiction is displaying secretive behavior. When teens begin avoiding eye contact or isolate themselves from others, this is a warning sign of addiction. Forgetfulness If your teen has memory problems–forgetting things that should be important to their lives–this, too, may indicate the presence of substance use concerns.

Because question marks are meaningless to a computerised system. The question mark symbol is solely to show the reader that it is a question - not a statement.
