They wear a lot of protective gear. Typically they start with a heavy shoes or boots and a pair of comfortable coveralls. Over this they wear a G suit, designed to help them counteract the effects of high speed turns and maneuvers. A harness to connect into the ejection system is also worn, it may be incorporated into the G suit or separate. And a helmet with the electronics for communications, sun protection and the oxygen mask.
