Any person should be addressed in the same manner:
The majority of "black people" are considered African Americans.
Answer:
Although the concept of race is not as often used as it once was due to the variations of the human family, "black people" were once considered to be one of the three divisions of the human race (Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Negroid). It was assumed that all "black people" originated in Africa. This ignored groups native to Australia and India with similar skin colour. It also ignored the presence of other groups in Africa that did not fit the stereotype of "black" Africans like the Bushmen (also known as San, Sho, Basarwa, Kung, or Khwe).
Societal labeling also creates problems and confusion as people may be considered as "black" in some countries if they have any of many degrees of ancestral origin.
