It depends upon the culture, and the extent upon which those people are educated.
==new answer== In the universal language of mind, stars represent awareness in the conscious mind. In a dream stars will point to a need to appreciate what we have to work with consciously such as the ability to reason and taking in information into the brain via the five senses. We are each unique and a star has it's own light. We, having our own light have the ability to become more aware.
