The Teacher's Staff Room is typically a private area with one or a few tables and chairs around each. There may be a couch or upholstered chair. A separate table holds a coffee machine and snacks (example: homemade cookies) if someone brought any.
Teachers may spend a few minutes or a class period in the Staff Room. They may catch up on their work, grade papers, record grades, prepare for the next class, or talk to other teachers.
There is also usually a Staff bathroom adjoining the Staff Room.
