Vultures subsist on the decaying remains of animal flesh. These magnificent birds will circle a dying or dead creature for hours if necessary, surveying the landing zone and ensuring the demise of the animal in question. When the time is right, they descend and begin voraciously devouring every ligament, sinew, and muscle fiber that was once another critter.
