How do you convince your parents to let you have a girlfriend?

You have to remember that your parents were once your age and if they think your not at a good age to be dating quite yet chances are they are right and you should respect them for that. You will have a lot of time in the future to have girlfriends and date but for now concentrate on being young, having fun, schooling and just enjoying the time as with age comes more responsibility as well as girlfriends much more responsibility. Give your parents the benefit of the doubt that they actually know what they are talking about and respect their decision as before you know it you will be older and then you will have thanked them. When your innocence is gone or lost so is your idealism.

That is a hard one. I'm a girl so I to convince them to let me have a boyfriend but same thing. My parents are very strict and told me I wasn't allowed to date until my next birthday which isn't for another 5 months but I am going strong with my boyfriend for three month and almost three weeks. And the best part is my parents know about him, it's not like I'm hiding him. How I did it is I invited him to one of my volleyball tournaments so when I was playing he would be sitting by my mom without me and he and her talked and she liked him then he asked my out. So introduce the girl you want to be your girl friend to your parents as a friend and let them meet her and warm up to her then you can ask her out and not have to hide it from your parents

You dont. They are your parent and you probably are to young. When the time is right for you to date in their house they will allow it. If you push the issue now you will seal your fait. It sounds like your young (Im sorry if i have it wrong) but it sounds like there is enough time for dating later. There is a whole nother world that opens up and you really should focus on you and enjoying your youth because you will regret missing out on being young when you become OLD.
