What do you do if you are a 14-year-old boy and you like a 10-year-old girl but you don't know if she likes you too?In: Relationships |

Answer
You need to find someone closer to your age. 14 and 10 is too big of an age gap. Four years isn't a big deal, but there is a big difference between 10 an 14. Just move on and wait for her to get older. When she is 13 or 14 and your 17 or 18, if you still like her and she likes you, you can try dating. For now move on to girls closer to your age.

Believe it or not mom's are usually great romantics and if you told your mom, grandmother or aunt about this I am sure they can help you.
I know you may not want to discuss this with anyone in your family, so here is what you do: Walk home from school with her. Just chat about different things. Bring her into the house and either do homework together or watch a movie on TV (be sure her parents know where she is.) If your parents aren't home, please don't ask her into your home unless there is another adult there. It's not that you aren't to be trusted, but just not a good thing to do.
If your mother knows her mother perhaps you could do activities together as a family, or ask your mom to accompany you both to a movie. Moms can be pretty cool and often will sit a few rows back in the theater so as not to embarrass you.
Once she gets to know you a little better then tell her you like her. You'll know when the time is right (even at your age.)
Good luck Marcy
