I usually feed my baby ball python 1 LIVE mouse every 2 weeks.I don't know why people say its not good.if its not good than why do people sell mice that our suppose to be for snakes
A baby ball python should be started on rat pups as it's very difficult to switch them to rats, they are very finicky eaters. When they get bigger it's going to take a LOT of mice to feed them. My adult male is 3.5 ft long and could easily take 6 mice in one sitting without even getting a lump in his belly. As it is, he eats 2-3 medium rats every 2-3 weeks. If you want to feed live, that's your choice just watch until your snake begins eating so the mouse or rat does not kill your snake. You will have to deal with scars though. It would be cheaper to buy frozen/thawed since pet stores are trying to discourage buying their rats and mice for snake food by making live mice and rats unreasonably priced. You can buy f/t in bulk and they will last longer. A few months rather than a few days or weeks (when a rat/mouse will become too large for you snake).
Mice than Rats. Pretty much it. Don't feed live, live prey can kill or injure the snake.
the same as any other ball pythons, from fuzzys to rats
Depending on the size of the snake - 'pinkie' mice/rats, adult mice, small rats, gerbils or day-old chicks. It all depends on what food the snake prefer (not all will eat mice and/or rats)
Same as any other ball python, mice.
Only appropriately sized mammals.
A boa can eat a ball python... It's happened before. I'm not sure if pythons could eat boas though. I don't think pythons are cannibalistic.
A Ball Python will not eat another snake. Ball pythons are nice and docile. They make good pets too!
You should feed your baby ball python frozen pinkies, your middle-aged python frozen mice, your aged python, live mice!
If the python was not hungry, but saw the prey as a threat, it would eliminate the threat but not eat it.
a wild one will eat more and maybe less. the ball python will eat as much as it wishes in the wild. one that you own may starve to death and you might not know.
burmese python
well ball python can be feed once a week .
A white ball python could be any of the white pythons. Those are the Blue-Eyed Leucistic Ball Python, Ivory Ball Python, Hypo Ivory Ball Python and the Piebald Ball Python.
no probaly not ball pythons are very picky with what they decide to eat and not eat such as i have seen people feed a ball python a white mouse every week and then try to feed it a brown mouse and it will turn its nose up to it
Yes. Python's have been known to eat cats, dogs and other animals when they are hungry.
No your snake will eat them unless it is a baby snake.
Yes ... they eat pinkies (infant mice) up to rats ... depending on the size of the ball.
