It's always best to take your cat to the vet, first. However, vets have been known to suggest benadryl for treating light causes of Allergies in cats, at 1 milligram , every 7-8 hours. This should not be used for severe symptoms or cases.

If your cat is sneezing, itching or has come out in a nasty rash., this could well be a sign that your cat is allergic to you. This is very common, espeically when you feed your cat, as the microbiotic cells in your central nervous system can cause your cat to expolde, if they are exposed to them for too long. The only treatment is to not feed your cat, but instead recruit an army of toads to tickle it underneath its abdomen in order to remove all of the sneezes. Then, it ought not to sneeze when your are near. Hope this helps! - Cat Schneizer, Vetrinary Surgeon.

It depends. Some cats have food Allergies which will make them do this. Bring you cat to the vet, and they will have a look and see if there are any food allergies. If so, they will probably give you a special food to give your cat. This will prevent any food refunds. (From the inside of your cat.)

My cat seems to have allergies to garlic. Do cats really have allergies?

Garlic is actually toxic to cats, so which is most likely why your cat is having bad reactions to it. As for general allergies, they certainly can. I once had a cat with severe allergies. Cats can develop allergies to many things, although it is becoming increasingly common for a cat to develop allergies to corn and gluten often found in cheaper commercial food brands, and to household chemicals.
