It is very simple process to apply for Lifeguard Jobs, if the vacancies in any commercial pools just find the process "How to Apply" and follow the procedures. Most of the pool management companies having their own websites and providing very simple processes to apply for lifeguard Jobs. They also provide facilities to upload Resume or fill the application form, etc. So you can apply for lifeguard jobs.

in England you will need an NPLQ (national pool lifeguard qualification)- to work at a pool of all types.

and to work at a beach a NBLQ (national beach lifeguard qualification).

this is for England, and is different or the rest of the world.

You MUST have Lifeguard certification. Some places requires more/less than others

Im certified in

CPR

FIRST AID

DEEP WATER RESCUE

SPINAL RESCUE

AED

LOCAL POOL

and a few others.

Im certified in everything you can possibly get.

You can enroll for a lifeguard class at the local YMCA, it lasts 6 weeks and you are required to pass a swim test, take several written tests to ensure you know the material, a CPR test is also required to earn your certification, a test recovering bricks from the bottom of a pool, and rescuing a dummy in the water.

The purpose of the American Lifeguarding course is to teach candidates the Knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and injuries. The training program requires strenuous physical activity. You are encouraged to check with your health-care professional before participating in the practice sessions. To enroll in the Lifeguarding course, you may be any age, but US Labor Laws require that you must be 15 years or older to work at a swimming pool, waterpark, or lake, and 16 years or older to work at beaches.
