Being a survivalist myself, you would pack painrelievers (aspirin, Tylenol etc), List of current medications with your name number medical conditions and next of kin name and number (try and jot down at least 3), Handy wipes pref (antibacterial wipes), package of Ready made meal in a bag (dry), bandaging, you should also take extra water, (not able to fit in the bag though), candles, matches, poncho in the small package.

Yes, you can pack lotions in checked luggage, they do not have to be in plastic bags. If in a carry-on, they must be three ounces or less by volume and in a ziploc style bag.
